Jessica de Ruiter is as an editor and stylist whose career spans two incredible decades working within the fashion industry. She started on her path during the ‘golden age’ of print media interning at W Magazine and WWD in the early 2000s. Soon thereafter she was offered a position at Vogue working for the iconic West Coast Editor, Lisa Love, where she covered the Los Angeles market. Proving herself an invaluable asset at Conde Nast, Jessica then moved to New York to launch Teen Vogue where she served as Accessories Editor under Editor-in-Chief, Amy Astley. Committed to her passion of becoming a fashion stylist, Jessica also assisted legendary editor, Camilla Nickerson. This all in the time before digital & social media when true fashion editors learnt their craft first-hand from the ‘greats’ that came before them. Jessica has had an illustrious fifteen-year career as a freelance stylist working with the top professionals in her field. She has styled countless shoots for world-renowned publications such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, W Magazine, Harpers Bazaar, Elle, Glamour, InStyle, Porter etc and dressed an extensive and impressive list of A-listers.

Jessica has been recognized in the fashion press for her impeccable sense of style and singular point of view. She has been featured as a tastemaker in Vogue US, Vogue France, Vogue Australia, Vogue Netherlands, W Magazine, Glamour, Elle, WSJ, The Coveteur, Moda Operandi, Net-a-Porter, Neiman Marcus and many more. She is frequently called upon as an industry expert within the fashion media and included in style tomes including Garance Dore’s Love x Style x Life, Both Moore’s Where Stylists Shop and Claiborne Swanson’s American Beauty.

In addition to being a fashion insider, Jessica is also renowned for her interior design sensibility and considered approach to styling and decorating her own homes. Her love for interior design parallels her love of fashion. Jessica’s homes have been published in AD, AD Germany, Martha Stewart, Kinfolk, One Kings Lane, Living Sense etc. Jessica’s husband, Jed Lind, is the founder and lead designer of Jed Lind Interiors and they frequently collaborate in the creative direction of projects.
